Our Story

Welcome to Magnolia Lemons!

I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. I spent many years sewing alongside my grandmother, learning on her vintage Singer sewing machine—a machine I still use today! It’s safe to say we love vintage around here.

Sewing has always been a place of peace for me. No matter how much life changes, sewing has remained my constant. I spent 15 years as a Marine wife while raising our two wonderful children. Now that they are grown, I found myself wanting to do something just for me—something that allowed me to share my love of sewing and create a business that truly feels like a reflection of who I am.

And that’s how Magnolia Lemons came to be.

Magnolias have always held a special place in my heart. They were planted throughout the city where I grew up, and I love what they represent—beauty, resilience, and strength.

The lemons are for my grandmother. She had a lemon tree in her backyard that quickly became one of my favorite things and, over the years, something that has always reminded me of her.

Every time I sit down at my sewing machine, I’m reminded of my grandmother, the things she taught me, and the strength she passed along. Magnolia Lemons brings together so many pieces of my story: family, memories, resilience, creativity, and a love for all things vintage.

My hope is that the pieces I create bring you back to a special memory of your own—or become part of the new memories you’re creating.

Behind Magnolia Lemons is my wonderful family: my husband, Nick; our daughter, Juno; and our son, David. We also share our home with five rescue cats and two dogs. We have a bit of a soft spot for animals in need and apparently aren’t very good at saying no!
